Rebuilding Roads from the Ground Up
Road reconstruction is the complete removal and replacement of a roadway from the foundation up when a street reaches the end of its useful lifespan or suffers from severe structural failure. Unlike simple resurfacing or patching, this process involves stripping away the old asphalt or concrete, excavating the weak underlying sub-base, and rebuilding the road layers with new aggregate, improved drainage systems, and updated utility lines (such as water, sewer, and gas mains). It is a long-term engineering project designed to restore safety, fix deep-seated potholes and settling, and handle modern traffic loads.
